2010 NAHS Marching Band Announcements

Band Camp:  Monday, August 16 - Saturday, August 21

Times are still to be determined, but please reserve the entire day for all six
days.

Location:  North Andover High School.

There will also be a few short 1-day-long supplementary rehearsals during June,
July, and early August.  These will be announced soon, and they will serve to
get the incoming freshmen acclimated and comfortable so that we may start Band
Camp strong!

THE 2010 PROGRAM:  "Arabian Knights"

Description:  A musical journey across an eclectic mix of Arabian-themed music,
drawn from folk, cinema, classical, and modern backgrounds.

Junior District Results from NAMS

5  North Andover Middle School students were accepted to the junior district festival.

The students accepted were:

10 degrees & total darkness doesn’t stop the pep band

The pep band & the acapella choir played/sung in total darkness and 10 degree weather on Sunday at the library for the "Knight Lights". The money raised is for the North Andover School Enrichment Council to help fund curriculum enrichment programs such as animal exhibits and traveling planetarium programs in the schools. The main event was held on Sunday, Jan. 31 at Patriots Memorial Park, next to the library, where many of the lights were on display. Click to see all photos.

Lost in Thought

Coffee House Set List – Be there! 7pm @ the CAFE

On Friday, January 29th at 7pm we will be hosting our second Coffee House. The October Coffee House was an enormous success, and we expect this one to be equally as successful. As in the past, students will have the opportunity to pre-sell tickets during the week prior to the event. Half of the price of each pre-sold ticket will go towards the corresponding student’s trip account. Please take advantage of this fundraising opportunity, as the money made will come off of the February trip payment.

We will also be holding a meeting on Wednesday, February 3rd at 6pm for anyone interested in chaperoning the trip. We are in need of about 8 chaperones.

Summer Camp Auditions at NEC

There are a number of summer camps and festivals that will be distributing information at NEC and/or holding auditions at NEC in the next two months. So far, the schedule includes the following summer programs.
