August 17, 2010Band Camp runs from 9:00-9:00 this week. Students should arrive around 8:45. It promises to be HOT today – hats, sunscreen, and plenty of water is essential. Be sure you eat a breakfast and drink plenty of water in the morning – those who don’t will be the ones who feel faint!
Yesteday was a GREAT first day! (some photos here) Most students turned in their paperwork – if you didn’t, it needs to come in today, especially the emergency health form. We must know who to contact in case of a problem.
Meal times
Lunch break will be from 1:00-2:00, students should bring food to eat ON CAMPUS. Dinner break 5:00-6:30, students MAY leave campus if they want (go home for dinner and come back ready for evening drill), except for Friday – annual BBQ. Saturday schedule is 10:00-4:00 with a lunch break only.
Friday is the annual BBQ for students and the evening meal will be provided by NAMA. Donations are needed and should be brought to the cafeteria in the morning:
Freshman – desserts
Sophomores – drinks (water or individual cans of soda)
Juniors – individually wrapped chips
Seniors – fruit (watermelon, strawberries, or grapes)
Uniforms – will be distributed on Wednesday and Thursday during the lunch break. Wednesday will be for juniors and seniors; Thursday will be for sophomores and freshman. If you have not passed in your uniform dry cleaning fee of $20.00, that must be in before getting a uniform. All shoe orders should be in by Thursday as well.
Color Guard – all Guard members should report to the cafeteria on Wednesday at 12:45 for measuring. New uniforms will be tailor made for all Guard members.
Tuesday August 24th – Stachey’s Pizza Night – 4:00-8:00 – % of night’s profits go to NAMA
- Saturday August 28th -Car Wash 9:00-2:00 at the Middle School – proceeds support the chorus trip to Carnegie Hall. Click here to see the full sized poster AD.
- Complete Fall Band schedule will be coming out by the end of the week.
- The Band is looking to borrow an electronic keyboard for the fall show – if you have one lying around that we can use, please contact Mr. Goldberg at goldberga@northandover.k12.ma.us

April 20, 201010 degrees & total darkness doesn’t stop the pep band

The pep band & the acapella choir played/sung in total darkness and 10 degree weather on Sunday at the library for the "Knight Lights". The money raised is for the North Andover School Enrichment Council to help fund curriculum enrichment programs such as animal exhibits and traveling planetarium programs in the schools. The main event was held on Sunday, Jan. 31 at Patriots Memorial Park, next to the library, where many of the lights were on display. Click to see all photos.
