NAMA STAFF
President: The public face of NAMA who represent our organization to other groups in our schools and community. They are strong advocates for music and ensure our voice is heard. Vice President: The VP works with the Guidance Office providing information to seniors about NAMA college scholarships and organizes a Scholarship committee to select recipients from an incredible pool of candidates. Also responsible for Summer Camp Scholarships offered to our music students in grades 6-11. Also plans Band Camp BBQ and NAMA Awards Banquet. Treasurer: Responsible for all financial transactions, records, and reports for NAMA, as well as for maintaining our Not For Profit Status. Is also key in yearly budget planning. Lisa Vayanos livay@comcast.net
Fundraising Chair: Oversees all fundraising activities for NAMA. Develops a Fundraising calendar and organizes a Fundraising Committee consisting of parent volunteers and music students. Coordination is carried out with Student Officers and Volunteer Coordinator. Can be contacted to serve on the Fundraising Committee, volunteer to help at an event, donate goods or ideas for a fundraiser, or to answer fundraising questions. Chaperone Coordinator: Coordinates communication for and responses to calls for help in NAMA. Responsible for CORI coordination between NAMA and the Superintendent’s Office and supplying Chaperone Volunteers with parameters of responsibility. Publicity Chair: Serves as an as an external source of communication for NAMA to communicate music events, fundraising activities, and to promote the accomplishments of our music students by funneling information to outside sources such as Cable TV, school newsletters and regional newspapers.
