All Town Band Concert – Tuesday, April 9th -
Report time – 6:00PM – High School Band Room
Concert Dress – White Band Polo Shirt, (TUCKED IN) Black Dress Pants, Black Socks, Black Shoes.

We still need a few student volunteers to help set up Tuesday after school starting at 3:00PM See Mr. Smalley if you want to help.

Tentative Summer Band Camp Date

Dear Band and Color Guard Parents,

The tentative dates for The Scarlet Knight Marching Band camp 2013 are August 12th through August 17th. I have submitted the paper work to the school and am waiting for confirmation. Hope this helps in making your plans for summer.

North Andover High School Singers Going to San Francisco

 The North Andover High School honors chorus, the Scarlet and Black Singers, are traveling to California April 5-9 to participate in the San Francisco Festival of Gold.  Only the nation’s most-accomplished musical choirs are invited to perform at this exclusive event. NAHS’s chorus was invited after singing in Philadelphia last spring where they earned gold medals for their performances.

Concord Chamber Ensemble with NAHS Wind Ensemble Concert – March 21

The Concord Chamber Ensemble, under the direction of Mr. Alan Yost, will perform in a concert starting at 7:00pm on Thursday evening, March 21st, at North Andover High School.  Members of the North Andover High School Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Mr. Justin Smalley, will also perform at this concert.

This event is open to the public; donations accepted at the door as a benefit for the North Andover Music Association.

The Concord Chamber Ensemble, made up of a string quartet + bass,  2 flutes, 2 clarinets, oboe, bassoon, French horn,  piano, harmonium(electric keyboard), and 3 percussionists, will present:

      Debussy:  Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun —Debussy/Schoenberg

      Debussy:   Syrinx  for  Solo Flute  –Susan Jackson soloist

      Ravel:        “Three Poems of Mallarme”  –Sarah Telford –soprano

The Jazz Disciples Benefit Concert is ON!

The show goes on!  The Jazz Disciples will perform a benefit concert tonight, Friday, March 8th, at NAHS. Starting at 7:00 the NAHS Jazz Band and the Scarlet and Black Singers will perform.  The Jazz Disciples are set to take the stage 8:00pm. Don’t miss a great evening of music!  All proceeds to benefit the chorus trip to San Francisco.

Where – University of New Hampshire.

Transportation – We will be traveling by coach bus – Every student needs to turn in a permission slip and $20.00 for the bus. Please make checks out to NAMS.

Students will also need money for dinner. Please eat before we leave at 12:45 and if you want bring a snack for the bus ride.

Departure – Load Bus at NAMS at 12:30 – We will be leaving at 12:45

Home – We should be arriving back to NAMS at 9:30PM
